We invite you to attend the commemoration for Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day and Heroism, which will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Jewish cemetery in Belgrade starting at 12:00 PM.
We will lay wreaths at the Memorial to the Victims of the Holocaust and at the Memorial to those who perished in the Kladovo transport.
Yom HaShoah is Israel's National Memorial Day, dedicated to the memory of six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust due to the crimes committed by Nazi Germany and its collaborators, as well as to the memory of Jewish resistance during that period. The Knesset (Israeli parliament) adopted a resolution on April 12, 1951, establishing the 27th of Nisan, according to the Hebrew calendar, after Passover and eight days before Israel's Independence Day, as an annual Day of Remembrance for the Holocaust and the uprising in the ghetto.
