This exhibition dedicated to our Nobel laureate is organized by the City Library of Belgrade on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Andrić's passing. The author of the exhibition and catalog is Marjan Marinković, and the design is by Amalija Vitezović.
The exhibition consists of 18 large-format panels and 5 smaller panels. It was briefly displayed at the Belgrade Book Fair, and this is its premiere complete setup.
The exhibition is one of many possible stories about Andrić. The author did not intend to provide a comprehensive overview of either the writer's life or his work.
Just as an observer cannot fully grasp a mountain massif at a glance – from a distance, they see it vaguely, but from the base, clearly yet incompletely – so too is the attempt to present Andrić in his entirety impossible and futile.
All in the hope that this assembled story will be interesting, relevant, and stimulating for the observer's understanding of the phenomenon of Andrić.
After touring the exhibition, the gathering continues in the city.
Gathering at 1:00 PM - in front of the City Library of Belgrade (Knez Mihailova 56)
